Winding down for sleep

A slow, dim-the-lights practice for the end of the day.

Winding down for sleep

Find somewhere comfortable. You can stop whenever you like.

What you'll be doing
  1. Get into bed and turn the lights low. Let your body sink into the mattress.
  2. Breathe out slowly, as if fogging a window.
  3. Let your feet go heavy, then your legs.
  4. Let your hips and back melt into the bed.
  5. Let your arms feel loose, your hands open.
  6. Let your face go slack. No expression needed.
  7. If thoughts come, let them drift by like cloud. You don't have to follow them.
  8. There's nothing left to do tonight. Rest.
